Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Baby Shower

I'm beyond excited to share this sweet Twinkle Twinkle Little Star baby shower that I was honored to help host Sunday.  This is a perfect shower theme for those expecting mommas who have decided to let the gender be a secret.  (This still amazes me, I could never have the power to wait 9 months, 20 weeks was hard enough not knowing.)

This adorable little shower was so fun to put together.  And, it was easy too.

We went with a Black and Gold/Yellow color scheme to mirror a starry night sky.  I used this tutorial from annekata to create the 3D stars which we hung from the ceiling in front of the black backdrop.

I created these little print outs to frame for some easy and free decorations.  I grabbed some books to stack them on to give it some dimension.

The center piece was actually one of the table centerpieces from my wedding.  I kept it around for such an occasion.  We took an old book and cut out paper stars to pin to the twigs with little clothes pins.

For the cup cake tier, I got creative.  You don't need anything fancy.  I used a small cake tier on top of a glass bowl I had flipped over.  To the side is another book I used to give some of the cupcakes some height.

We painted a hand full of different mason jars with white chalk paint, distressed them and then used the chalk paint wax to seal it.  These were used all around the shower with fresh daisies and carnations.  I love how a simple flower arrangement just adds a smile to the whole picture.

Aren't these little star cut outs cute as can be scattered around the table?  I think they may have been my favorite part.

The shower came together beautifully for a very special mom-to-be at our church.  I want to stop and thank all the girls who helped bring this whole shower together.
